Lilly FSS Titanium Loose rings
Lilly FSS, a single jointed titanium bit with FSS and bar relief.
Fager's Smart system is a three-way lock system that prevents the bit to over-bend in any uncomfortable way.
The difference between regular lockup and FSS™ is more significant than you might think. While the horse is working the FSS™ are there to help in any position your horse head is moving in. From low position (stretching out) or higher (over a jump), the closure works even if the reins will pull the bit upwards and making the bit turn downwards where regular lockup would fail. In that way, it is more forgiving against unexpected movements of your hands.
Are you looking for a kind bit and have a sensitive horse?
- Give this bit a try.
Perfect to have between other bits for communication work as well. Our loose rings allow for immediate release and relief from bar and tongue pressure. The bit is immediately reset to a neutral position in the horse's mouth.
If you would describe your horse as something with the following;
- Uncomfortable with almost every bit you have tried
- Sensitive for bar pressure
- Put too much focus on the bit during work
- Plays around with it or tries to bite etc.
Then I need to say, try Lilly! Lilly allows for bar relief, that will work in two different ways.
Together with Fager's, equestrians and customers experience, we know many horses have sensitive pressure points and will try to escape the pressure from your hands to avoid it. It can show by the horse trying to steal the bit from your hands and in some cases, tucking his head in and drops the bit. Which gives the rider zero connection to the mouth.
The horse is uncomfortable, and you won't be able to develop your training. With Fager's bar relief we had made the mouthpiece where it lay towards the bars, wider.
We kept the height thinner to promote a comfortable, close mouth for your horse while riding. When you achieve the fantastic feeling of connection with your horse, and you receive a correct link to the reins, Lily will have a gentle and perfect position in the mouth. If the horse leans/pull on the bit, the Bar-relief will bend and achieve more point pressure on the bars, making the horse seek a more honest connection again.
Loose rings or Eggbutts?
Eggbutts give the mouthpiece stability, and the rein aids will be more direct and precise. If your horse is a little hesitant into the contact, an eggbutt is the one.
Loose rings will allow for more movement of the bit in the horse's mouth, which will also discourage leaning. Loose rings will allow the rider for quick aids with finesse.
Eggbutts or loose rings together with bit guards is to recommend if the horse has ”fleshy" lips/mouth corners. Lilly's mouthpiece is made in solid titanium.
Titanium has several advantages:
- Antibacterial and Biocompatible material
- Superior strength and extremely lightweight in the mouth
- Increases saliva
- Warm to the touch
- Encourages acceptance
- Non-toxic and hypoallergenic.
- Low maintenance, easy to clean
The logo-HORSE should always be on your horse right side, upwards.
